Yahoo!
Yahoo, one of the largest internet companies in the world, just released an redesign of their mobile web site. The large tab is something I haven\'t seen much on a mobile site since it uses up more real estate. It\'s nicely executed. A key element to their design is how they present search as a primary feature without taking too much dominance over the page.
Blip
A very well executed design for a mobile website. Simple, out of the way branding and nav. Your eyes are drawn to to their introduction followed by the search. If you haven\'t caught interest into any of these you\'ll presented with content that helps entice you to scroll. Then, if all else fails you\'ll probably end back up at the top with their navigation.
DPTO
The beauty of this site comes with the interaction while using it. They\'ve mastered the finger-to-screen interaction. Press, hold, and move your finger around to rearrange their navigation. Simply a design you must use to see the beauty beyond the visuals.
Sundance
Sundance has done a great job at translating their desktop experience ot their mobile experience. There are so many design styles they\'ve reused or adapted to fit the mobile screen. Pay close attention.
Playboy
Playing off the iPhone apps icon style and grid to introduce you to their different products.
LiveScore
Great example of organizing your content in a sense that it\'s easy to scan and digest for the mobile web while you\'re on the go.
Spin the Bottle
One of the few games to take advantage of the iPhone\'s mobile API. The interaction is a must use. A brilliant mobile web game.
MLB
Access to Baseball news on the go is priority number one. MLB.com\'s mobile experience gives a great example of how to design easy to scan content.
Food Network
Finding something to cook while your at the store is made easy when browsing Food Network\'s mobile web site.
Moviefone
Forget to buy that movie ticket and your tired of standing in line at the movie box office? Step out of line and use this easy mobile web site which makes it simple.
SportScores for iPhone
Sport scores on the go is a must. Great use of hierarchy on the SportScores website.
