Twitter just recently redesigned their homepage followed up by a new mobile design. They\'ve stripped what was too complex for the desktop and translated it to work on the mobile. I honestly would have liked to see something that felt a little more like a website tailored to the mobile screen and not just a minified version of their website. Either way, it\'s still a great experience. It\'s nice to see large companies putting effort into mobile design.
Mashable
Mashable is a good example of how to present only what the user needs while maintaining the beautiful style while crossing platforms. Nothing more, nothing less.
GDZLLA
A service developed by nclud to link Flickr and Twitter together. Instead of explaining their service to you, they\'ve done an amazing job at pointing you in the right direction. This is a great example of getting to the point because that\'s what\'s key in mobile design.
Meet Web
Here we have a couple of categories that you can click into followed by some layers of content related to both of those headings. Simple and to the point.
Twitter for iPhone
Twitter just recently redesigned their homepage followed up by a new mobile design. They\'ve stripped what was too complex for the desktop and translated it to work on the mobile. Last.fm
They know their product and they know their user. Because of the context of the mobile web, they\'ve done a great job at knowing what you\'re going to need and only giving you those options. It\'s good to see companies like Last.fm putting effort into mobile web design.
AOL Horoscopes
Even though only a sub-micro site to AOL, their horoscopes mobile site carries a great mobile experience.
Pocket Tweets
The differnt shades of blue really set this mobile design apart from other web sites. The textures and gradients look great on the iPhone screen.

Digg
Easy to digest list of news items. No detail, but that allows it to work across all mobile platforms...even non webkit based.
Facebook, at the time of this screenshot it was one of the most innovative user interfaces we\'ve ever seen. The use of the simple tabs and horizontal navigational slider.
BrightKite
Nice, big links to tap on. The context was well thought out. They give you a few popular actions that you\'ll likely use walking around or sitting on a bench.
